What I've been up to (it's a lot)

Fantasy TTRPG artist

Hey so, here's a quick recap of EVERYTHING I've been working on in the past month or so. Just a list with links where I have them, no extra fluff:

  • I'm getting the hang of my new Patreon: I'm posting daily and I got my first 10 supporters there
  • The "choose your own adventure" set in the world of Nuradan has reached its 3rd chapter. And as it moves forward, I update the relevant wiki sections
  • I entered the Godot Wild Jam #92 and placed 3rd with my Space Druid browser game
  • I attempted the next Wild Jam but had to drop out, I'm not in the right mindset and I'm pushing through so many things. Hopefully next time 🤞🏻
  • I took my pixeled map of Nuradan and turned it into a photobashed "satellite view" of my made up planet
  • I updated the looks and formatting of my worldbuilding website. In case you didn't know, it's a non-linear repository of everything I have so far on Nuradan, and I keep adding to it. It's responsive and easily browsed from any device
  • I'm - of course - working on the current commission slots! I have:
    • A set of 6 fantasy waist-up portraits for an interactive novel. 3 expressions each: "neutral", "surprised", and "angry"! Currently in the lineart stage
    • A fantasy waist-up duo portrait for a Fallen London campaign, currently in the sketch stage
    • A shiny human paladin for a D&D player, currently in the lineart stage
    • A Pokémon style portrait for a family gift, currently in the exploration stage
    • Plus more in the waitlist!
  • However, I'm still looking to fill a couple slots of commissions! I simplified my offering, you can take a look here. Please consider supporting a human artist this month. Times are tough for everyone!
  • I'm also working on an up-to-date, detailed world map for Nuradan. What I had so far was an approximation, as I haven't explored all the regions in detail.. but now I'm doing just that and it's MADNESS! It's hundreds of zones, and I'm crawling away at it every day

That's it for now :) I want to end this with a request: would you join my Patreon, even as a free member? It really helps with the engagement thanks to their new discovery features, and I update it almost daily - something I can't really do with this newsletter. Here's a link for you: https://patreon.com/flygohr

Commissions aren't really paying the bills anymore - there's a general drought and every artist I know is struggling, or has a partner supporting them financially, or they had to move back with family. It's tough out there. If you don't want, don't need, or can't get a commission done, how about supporting my work and creativity with a monthly, smaller pledge? I am also all ears if you have any ideas for rewards. I want to make it a no-brainer for more people to join :)

OK, I'm out! Thanks for reading this far, and talk soon <3

I also want to own my system in...
